Two dozen devotees from the College and Radhadesh performed chanting in Brugge last spring. They went on a guided tour of the historic city first. “Brugge” means “landing” in Norwegian; Vikings came here to trade with Europeans. The devotees were impressed by the social institutions for caring for the needy in old Brugge, Brugge’s canals, and the lake’s swans.
After the tour, devotees sang bhajans at Jean-Pierre and Linda’s house. Prahladananda Swami led the chanting. Tasty prasadam was served to all the devotees.
Yadunandana Dasa then led a delightful bhajana in a city park. The peaceful atmosphere won the hearts of the people who listened. Some children jumped up and down, touched by the Lord’s holy names. Prahladananda Swami led the street chanting and dancing. It was a beautiful sunny day, and the city was packed with tourists to hear the Lord’s holy names.
