On September 22nd, thirty devotees from Radhadesh drove to the Antwerp temple for a sumptuous lunch. Then, at three in the afternoon, everyone went downtown (with five drums, many karatalas, an accordion, a portable harmonium, and a jambe).
The sound of our kirtana spread everywhere, thanks to our amplifier. Janmastami Dasa played the accordion and melodiously led the chanting of the maha-mantra. Devotees responded with enthusiasm while dancing in a circle. Many people were observing the event. Jaya Krishna Dasa was handing out nicely wrapped ladhus to the onlookers. Five or six devotees were distributing books and invitations. After twenty minutes, harinam began moving under the direction of Yadunandana Dasa. Devotees then walked two by two, some playing instruments, some clapping, some holding flags. People liked it. They waved to us, smiled, or nodded their heads in appreciation. The chanting continued till six p.m. About sixty devotees participated. Afterward, we drove back to Radhadesh, feeling satisfied by our service to please Srila Prabhupada and Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu.
