The Radhadesh devotees celebrated the birthday of Temple President Hridaya Chaitanya Prabhu and the first anniversary of Bhaktivedanta College Principal Yadunandana Swami’s sannyasa initiation with an evening of bhajans, words of praise and affection, and scrumptious cakes and sweet rice. Devotees expressed their gratitude to these two exemplary members of ISKCON and pillars of the social and spiritual wellbeing of the Radhadesh community. Yadunanda Maharaja told a story of how Lord Krishna decided that he should have his sannyasa initiation at Radhadesh. And after being advised that it was best to take sannyasa as soon as possible, which happened to be both Gaura Purnima and Hridaya Chaitanya’s birthday last year, he was convinced it was an auspicious day, indeed. So, this year, this very auspicious occasion was observed by everyone, to the benefit of all.
