Learn to cook traditional vegetarian meals from scratch through hands-on experience.

The classes will be led by Syama, a chef for 30 years.

He will give you basic techniques in which you will learn to cook simple, healthy meals for yourself or the whole family.

Course Summary

This pure vegetarian Indian cooking course will introduce students to the delicious world of vegetarian Indian cuisine. From iconic dishes like puris and chana masala to lesser-known delights like baingan bharta and paneer tikka, students will learn how to create flavorful and satisfying meals using only plant-based ingredients. The course will cover basic techniques for preparing spices, making chutneys and sauces, and cooking with essential Indian ingredients like lentils, chickpeas, and paneer. Whether you are a seasoned cook or a beginner, this course is perfect for anyone looking to expand their vegetarian cooking skills and explore the diverse and vibrant flavors of India’s meat-free cuisine.

Your approximate schedule

1st session: basic introduction: rice and dals (lentil soup)
2nd session: vegetables and breads
3rd session : savoury dishes and chutneys
4th session: panir (homemade cheese), raitas (salad and sauces) and sweets
